FAQ
Everything you need to know before you order.
How does ThornBloom actually work?
You choose a suite, then send us your details: names, date, venue, wording, and your guest list when you have one. The studio sets every piece for you and sends a proof. You approve it, and your print-ready files arrive. There is nothing to edit, no software, and no account to learn.
How long does it take?
Your proof arrives within two business days of that stage’s details reaching us. Guest List & Seating takes three business days. The clock starts when your details arrive, not when you order, so nothing is running while you are still deciding.
How many changes can I make?
Two rounds of refinement are included for each piece. A round is one set of changes to a piece, sent together, however many changes it contains.
If you want changes beyond that, we quote you before any work starts. Nothing is charged until you have agreed to it. You can say no. If you decline, your pieces stay exactly as they were at the end of your second round, finished and yours.
If the proof does not match what you sent us, that is our error. We fix it free, however many rounds it takes, it never counts against your two, and we never quote for it.
What is the difference between a revision and a correction?
One question: does what we sent you match what you sent us? If it does not, it is a correction. Free, always, however many rounds it takes, and never quoted for. If it does match, but you would like it different, it is a revision and it uses one of your included rounds.
What does a further round cost?
It depends what you are asking for, which is why we quote rather than charge a flat fee. Changing one word is not the same work as re-setting a seating chart for ninety guests. We tell you the price before any work starts, and you are free to decline.
What files do I receive?
Pieces made for print arrive as print-ready PDFs at 300 DPI with bleed marks. Mobile pieces arrive as high-resolution images. Where your suite includes a ThornBloom wedding website, it is hosted by us and live from the day you buy. Your files are yours to keep, with no expiry.
Can my wedding website be a save the date?
Yes. Every ThornBloom wedding website starts as your save the date: your names, the date, the city and a countdown, with an Add to Calendar button, up to two photos and a short note from you. When your invitations go out, switch to the full wedding website from your dashboard, or schedule the switch for a date. Your guests keep the same link. If your wedding is 120 days away or less when you buy, your site starts as the full wedding website instead, since your invitations are likely already on their way.
Will guests need a new link when I switch my save the date to the full website?
No. Your save the date and your full wedding website live at the same link, so whatever guests saved or bookmarked still works. After the switch they find the invitation, the schedule, travel and the RSVP there.
How do I switch my save the date to the full wedding website?
Open your dashboard and choose “Switch to the full website” under What guests see. Before you can switch, your dashboard checks that the full site has what it needs: the exact wedding date, your venue’s name, city and state, and an RSVP reply-by date. Once you switch, your full wedding website is live at the same link in minutes, with the RSVP open for replies.
Do you print and ship anything?
Yes, by quote. Delivered digitally by default: print-perfect PDFs and mobile-ready images. Most of the lineup can also be printed and shipped through the studio’s printing partners: email info@thornbloomstudio.com with your collection, suite or pieces, rough quantities, wedding date and destination, and we will reply with a quote. The 5×7 magnet save the dates and the Seating Chart print add-on are listed with an all in price that includes printing and shipping. We ship printed orders to the United States and Canada only. The wedding website is digital only and is never printed.
Is there a deadline for sending my details?
No. There is no fulfilment window and no expiry. Send each stage whenever you are ready: next month, next year, the year after. Stages you have not claimed are waiting, at no extra charge.
What we cannot do is go faster than the turnaround above. There is no rush service, so if your wedding is close, send your details early.
What happens to my guest list?
We use it to set your seating chart, place cards and envelopes, and for nothing else. Your guests will never hear from ThornBloom Studio. If you would like your guest list removed from our systems, write to us and we will remove it. Full detail is on our Privacy Policy.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, for any stage where nothing has reached you yet. There is no time limit on that. Once a proof or your final files have reached you for a stage, that stage is no longer refundable. Our Refunds & Cancellations page explains why, and covers the wedding website separately.
What sizes are the pieces?
Each piece is set at the standard size for its type: invitations 5×7″, save the dates 5×7″ or 4×6″, RSVP and details cards 3.5×5″, menus 4×9″, table numbers 4×6″, place cards 3.5×2.5″, and signs at 5×7″, 8×10″, 18×24″ or 24×36″ depending on the sign. Exact dimensions are on each product page.
Can I change the artwork or colours?
No. The artwork is what makes each collection what it is, and it is set as designed. Your names, date, venue and wording are personalized throughout; the artwork itself is not altered.
